What is the value of x in the equation 2x + 3y = 36, when y = 6?

X would equal 9. Subtract 18 from both sides then divide by two to get 9 as X

Plug 6 in for y and solve for x.
2x+3 (6)=36
2x+18=36
2x=18
X=9
