Glycolysis is still called Emben-Meyeroff-PARNAS pathway. It degrades glucose with the production of ATP and metabolites.

Whether in the presence or absence of oxygen, the production of energy (ATP) passes first by the degradation of glucose, and therefore it passes through glycolysis.
