Find the surface area of a pyramid with base sides of 6 inches and a slant height of 12 inches.

The area of base:


B=6^2=36\ in^2

The area of one side:


S=(1)/(2)\cdot6\cdot12=36\ in^2

The surface area:


SA=B+4S\to SA=36+4\cdot36=180\ in^2
