C.USING THEIR NAVY TO ATTACK PORTS IN THE EASTERN UNITED STATES
During this conflict or "Quasi-War" as it is called, the British used their navy to block trade in the eastern united states. british was at war with France and did not want that the u.s. could shift the balance of the outcome with trades, so they tried to block their naval trade.
