Epithelial membrane consist of continuous sheet of cell. one or more layer thick and are attached to the underlying connective tissue by a basement membrane. Nutrient and oxygen reach epithelial membrane by diffusion from blood vessel which are located in the connective tissue beneath the basemen membrane
