The answer is 68/100. First, you would find a common denominator by multiplying the first fraction by 10/10, to get 50/100. Then you can add 50/100 and 18/100 to get 68/100. Remember that 10/10 is the same as multiplying by 1!

you make 5/10 into 50/100 and 50 + 18 is 68 so it's 68/100 and you can simplify that
