The diagonals of a kite perpendicularly bisects each other dividing the kite in to four right angled triangles.
The area of the kite is given by
= pq/2, where p and q are the two diagonals of the kite
Therefore, A = (5.8 Ă— 6)/2
= 17.4 square feet
