Identify each cause of the French Revolution as social, political, or economic.

Since France was going through an economic crisis, I'd have to say economic.

The French people grew resent for the royal family since they ate like kings while the poor were starving. Also, France spent most of their money trying to get back at the British since they lost a war. Most of their money went into helping American rebels.

I think that the causes of the French Revolution are the following:

1) ECONOMIC cause is the unequal tax burden between the estates

2) SOCIAL cause is the division of French citizens into three estates

3) POLITICAL cause is the unequal representation of the third estate in the Estates-General
