5(-3x - 2) - (x - 3) = -4(4x + 5) + 13

Simplify.

-15x - 10 - x + 3 = -16x - 20 + 13

Add like terms.

(-15x - x) + (-10 + 3) = -16x + (-20 + 13)

Simplify.

-16x + (-7) = -16x + (-7)

Get rid of parenthesis.

-16x - 7 = -16x - 7

Now, since we're simply just trying to find the value of "x," we must isolate x.

So, add 16x to both sides.

-16x + 16x - 7 = -7

Then, add 7 to both sides.

-16x + 16x = -7 + 7

Simplify.

0 = 0

Therefore, all real numbers are solutions (:
