I NEED HELP!!!

Many suffragists believed women would help pass laws focused on the home and family if they were elected. Were the suffragists were right or wrong about Lillian Exum Clement Stafford?

They were incorrect, since Lillian Exum Clement Stafford worked to pass legislation that only benefitted railroads and farmers.

They were partly correct, since Lillian Exum Clement Stafford worked to pass legislation to help women and girls, but she worked for other issues too

Lilian Exum Clement was the first woman elected to the North Carolina General Assembly which is a state legislature. She was an active legislator. She also introduced legislation about divorce. Her purpose was to reduce the number of years women had to wait to sue for divorce after being abandoned by their husbands. Clement advocated that Lindley Training School, a home for unwed mothers and delinquent girls, has to become a state institution. Also, Lillian Exum Clement introduced seventeen bills and many of them became law.

From those above mentioned facts it is obvious that they were partly correct, since Lillian Exum Clement Stafford worked to pass legislation to help women and girls, but she worked for other issues too.
