Her purpose was to reduce the number of years women had to wait to sue for divorce after being abandoned by their husbands. Clement advocated that Lindley Training School, a home for unwed mothers and delinquent girls, has to become a state institution. Also, Lillian Exum Clement introduced seventeen bills and many of them became law.
