asexual portions are responsible for the symptoms. the asexual stage takes places exclusively in human body and is divided in two phases, pre-erythrocytic and and erythrocytic. it is the phase that destroy red blood cells and therefore responsible for the symptoms of malaria. the sexual portions release the spores in blood. they are called sporozytes and are responsible for giving rise to the eventual malarial parasite. mosquito transfers sporozytes from one human to another and the cycle continues.
