Please solve for p
−0.55p − 4 = 0.45p

-0.55p - 4 = 0.45p

We're simply just trying to isolate "p."

So, simply add 4 to both sides.

-0.55p = 0.45p + 4

Then, subtract 0.45p from both sides, so that both "p's" are on the same side :)

-0.55p - 0.45p = 4

Simplify.

-1p = 4

Divide both sides by -1.

-1p ÷ -1 = 4 ÷ -1

Simplify.

Therefore, p = -4
