What is the 2n chromosome number for a normal human karyotype?

46 is the ANSWER because of the basic number of chromosomes

The answer is 46.

A karyotype is a term used to describe the complete set of chromosomes in an organism.
Humans are diploid(2n) organisms. We carry two complete sets of chromosomes, one was inherited from the father( 23 chromosomes) and the other set of 23 chromosomes is from the mother.
From these 23 chromosomes, 22 are autosomes(not a sex chromossome)+ 1 is a allosome(sex chromossome).

n=23
2n = 46.

The diploid number (2n) varies between species. To find your diploid number, we can just count how many chromossomes are in the karyotype.
