Refer to the figure shown below.
From the Pythagorean theorem, obtain
x² + 35² = 50²
x² = 50² - 35² = 1275
x = 35.707
The hight is
x + 1.5 = 35.707 + 1.5 = 37.204 m
Answer: 37.2 m (nearest tenth)
