FIRST
We need to make a comparison for peanuts and raisins they need.
peanuts : raisins = 1 3/8 : 2/3
peanuts : raisins = 11/8 : 2/3

Simplify the ratio so it's not on a fraction form
peanuts : raisins = 11/8 × 3/2
peanuts : raisins = 33 : 16
For 33 pounds of peanuts, we need 16 pounds of raisins

SECOND
Calculate the need of peanuts using ratio above
the sum of ratio = 33 + 16 = 49

need of peanuts = ratio of peanut/sum of ratio × sum of pounds
need of peanuts = 33/49 × 245
need of peanuts = 8,085/49
need of peanuts = 165

They need 165 pounds of peanuts to make 245 pounds of trail mix
