How do you solve this equation? x^2-64=0

-You want to get x by itself, so start by adding 64 to both sides
-This now gives you: x^2=64
-From here, you need to get rid of the square
-To cancel out a square, take the square root of both sides
-Now you have x=64 AND x=-64 (Whenever you take the square root, you have to take the positive and negative)

FINAL ANSWER: x=64, x=-64
