L has "x -3"
S has "x"
x + x - 3 = 17
2x -3 (+3) = 17 (+3)
2x = 20
2x/2 = 20/2
x = 10
Leona has x - 3, or 10 - 3, or 7 dollars
Skye has 10 dollars
