My mom just gave me her old iPhone and I want to reset it. I know I’m supposed to use “Erase all Contents and Settings”, but my question is. The phone has 64GB purchased on it. If I reset it using “Erase all Contents and Settings”, will I lose the amount of GB that was purchased on the phone, or is the GB forever even if the phone has been reset?

Final answer:

Resetting an iPhone using 'Erase all Contents and Settings' does not affect the storage capacity of the phone.

Step-by-step explanation:

When you reset an iPhone using 'Erase all Contents and Settings', it will not affect the storage capacity of the phone. The GB that was purchased on the phone is a hardware feature and is not dependent on the software settings.

Therefore, after resetting the phone, the 64GB storage capacity will remain.

The Gigabytes(GB) is the built in storage of your phone, so it will forever be there no matter how many times you erase the contents.
