Make sure that you have everything that makes you feel comfortable and makes you feel safe (first aid kit, phone , etc) make sure you also have things that will keep you clean throughout your trip

If you are preparing a road trip, make sure you have cloths, bathroom equipment (toothbrushes, and toothpaste) and have the things you need.
