Answer:

67 cars.

Explanation:

Let x represent number of cars.

We have been the science club charges $4.50 per car at their car wash. the amount earned for washing x cars would be
4.50x.

We have been given that the science club have to earn at least $300. This means that amount earned for washing x cars would be greater than or equal to 300.

We can represent this information in an inequality as:

4.50x\geq 300

(4.50x)/(4.50)\geq (300)/(4.50)

x\geq 66.66

Since the closest integer to 66.66 is 67, therefore, they have to wash 67 cars to earn at least $300.
