Equation: -1/2x + 1 = -x + 8
Work:
-x/2 + 1 = -x + 8
1 - x/2 = -x + 8
1 - x/2 = 8 - x
2 - x = 16 - 2x
-x = 16 - 2x - 2
-x = 2x + 14
-x + 2x = 14
x = 14
Final Answer:
x = 14
