You need to re-arrange the formula F = ma which is Force = mass * acceleration.

If F = ma, then to find a you need to divide F by m. So a = F / m or acceleration = Force / mass.

You then just input your values, so 24 / 8.

24 / 8 = 3.

F=m* a


a=(F)/(m)=(24 N)/(8 kg)=3 m/s^2


3 m/s^2 is the acceleration of the rock.
