Running cross country makes you strong and fit. You will get a better workout as you run over an uneven trail or across a grassy field. A third benefit is that it is never boring.

How can you revise the passage using parallel sentence structure?

As I run cross country, I am strong and fit. You will get a better workout as you run over an uneven trail or across a grassy field. A third benefit is that it is never boring.

Running cross country makes you strong and fit. You will get a better workout as you run over an uneven trail or across a grassy field. And best of all, you will find you are never bored.

The paragraph that contains parallel structure is:

“Running cross country makes you strong and fit. Running over an uneven trail or across a grassy field gives you a better workout. And best of all, it is never boring.”

A parallel structure is a literary device which consist of a repetition of some pattern of words. In this particular paragraph the repeated statement is “Running ……..makes you…..” and “Running………gives you…….”
