First move all terms to one side:

m^2=2m\implies m^2-2m=0

Then all terms on the left side share a common factor of
m:

m(m-2)=0

The zero product product property says that if
ab=0, then
a=0 or
b=0. So either
m=0 or
m-2=0\implies m=2.
