Answer:

y = - 2, ; x = 5

Explanation:

Given :

2x+3y=4 - - (1)

3x+2y=11 - - (2)

From (1)

2x + 3y = 4

2x = 4 - 3y

x = (4-3y) / 2 = 2 - 3/2y

In (2)

3x + 2y = 11

3(2 - 3/2y) + 2y = 11

6 - 4.5y + 2y = 11

6 - 2.5y = 11

-2.5y = 11 - 6

-2.5y = 5

y = - 2

Put y = 2 in (2)

3x + 2(-2) = 11

3x - 4 = 11

3x = 11 + 4

3x = 15

x = 5
