⇒ This equation can be written in the form of y = mx + c where m is the slope, c is the y-intercept and x and y are x and y coordinates respectively of the point where the the line passes.

2x+y=3

y = -2x + 3.

If the line passes through the origin (0,0), then c = 0. This is not the case in our eqation.

Again if the question passes through the origin, by substituting the point (0,0) in the question it would satify it.

2x+y=3 ⇒ 2(0) + 0 = 3

0 + 0 ≠ 3

0 ≠ 3

The statement is false.
