If a black hole is "black, and dark" how can we see it in the dark, cold space?

How can we find them if the empty space is dark and the black hole is dark how can we find them??? How can you find something dark in darkness?

Answer:

I think really it has to do with dark matter and imagery within Space. Although we cant see the Black Hole. We cant actually see the Black Hole but we can see the Dark Matter around/near it.

Thermal Imaging shows Dark Matter as this cold temperature.

Basically, the Black Hole is invisible to us as we cant see it. We can only see its Dark Matter.

(For now......)

On the one end, there are the countless black holes that are the remnants of massive stars. ... Astronomers believe that supermassive black holes lie at the center of virtually all large galaxies, even our own Milky Way. Astronomers can detect them by watching for their effects on nearby stars and gas.
