Identify the equation in point-slope form for the perpendicular bisector of the segment with endpoints B(−1,1) and C(−5,−7). PLEASE HELP!!!

Equation in point-slope form=
{y+3}=(-1)/(2)(x+3)

Explanation:

The given end points are B(−1,1) and C(−5,−7)

Mid point M of BC=
(-5-1)/(2) ,
(-7+1)/(2)

Mid point M of BC = -3 , -3

Slope of BC =
(-7-1)/(-5+1) = 2

Slope of bisector= m=
(-1)/(2)

Equation of perpendicular bisector :
(y+3)/(x+3)=(-1)/(2)


{y+3}=(-1)/(2)(x+3)

⇒ 2(y+3)= -(x+3)


2y+x=-9
