Surface area of a triangle: Bh/2

Surface area of a rectangle: Bh

Triangle: 3in(2in)/2 = 3in

Rectangle: 7in(2.5in) = 17.5in

Rectangle: 7in(3in) = 21in

Since there are 2 triangles, the surface area of the triangle will be multiplied by 2. The surface area of the first rectangle will be multiplied by 2 due to the 2 rectangles:

3in*2 = 6in

17.5in * 2 = 35in

To find the total surface area, add the two numbers together:
