Answer: Hello! First, we know that the thickness of a penny is 1.52mm, now if we measure it with a ruler:

Ok, the option A is 0.016 inches, which is equivalent to almost 0.40mm, this is too thin for a penny.

The option B is 1.5 mm, wich seems alright, for the moment we can consider it

The option C is 1.5 cm, this is too thick, a penny cant have 1,5 cm of thickness.

The option D is 1.55mm wich, as the option B, seems alright,

then we have the options B and D, is easily to see that the option B is closer for 0.01 mm to the right thickness (if we roundit down).

Also, in a ruler we usually don't have a precision for two numbers after the decimal point when we are measuring mm, so the value of 1.55mm is kinda unusual for a ruler, so the correct answer is B.
