You didn't list a battle, so I will mention a few things. The last battle was the battle of San Jacinto, where Sam Houston surprised General Santa Anna, and forced him to sign a treaty that gave Texas independence. Other notable events were the Goliad Massacre and the battle of the Alamo, where Tennessee Congressman Davy Crockett was killed, along with the less than 200 defenders of the fort.
