What is 3/10-2/5=
Is it 1/2?

No it’s not. What I would do first is get the common denominators the same. (The bottom number) So i would multiply 5 x 2 to get 10. and then you would have to do the same to the top so 2 x 2. So you would be left with 3/10 - 4/10. Which would equal -1/10.

No, it is not 1/2.

3/10-2/5 = 3/10-(2*2)/(5*2)

= 3/10-4/10

= -1/10
