On a game show, a contestant spins a wheel. The angular speed of the wheel was ω=π/3 radians per second. If the wheel maintained this rate, what would be the rotation in revolutions per minute?

Answer: 10 revolution per minute.

Explanation:

Since, Revolutions per minute,


rpm = (\omega* 60)/(2\pi) ( Because, ω = 2π×rpm/60)

Here, The angular speed of the wheel was ω=π/3 radians per second.

Therefore,
rpm = (\pi/3* 60)/(2\pi)


rpm = (60)/(6)


rpm = 10

That is, wheel will be revolve 10 times.
