if I had to put a line passing through (9,2) and (-2,6) what would the equation be in slope intercept form

Slope-intercept form follows the format: y=mx+b, where m is the slope and be is the y-intercept.

First, find the slope using the equation: y2-y1/x2-x1. In this question, x1=9, x2=-2, y1=2, and y2=6. Plug in, solve, and simplify to find the slope:

6-2/-2-9

4/-11

m=-4/11

Now, the equation looks like y=-4/11x+b. To find be, you can plug in the values from one set of the coordinates for x and y in the equation and solve for b. The coordinate pair you choose does not matter, but I will use (9,2).

2=-4/11(9)+b

2=-36/11+b

58/11=b

The equation of the line in slope-intercept form is y=-4/11x+58/11.

Hope this helps!!
