m=(5-(-4))/(0-(-4))=9/4

Plug your value into the point-slope formula.


y = m(x-x_1)+y_1


y = (9/4)(x-(-4))+(-4) simplify it


y= 9/4x+5 the simplified form is the slope-intercept formula
