Hi there! :)

Answer:

a=-15

*The answer must have a negative sign.*

Explanation:

This lesson it's about the solving one step- equations: multiplication and division.

Definition of multiplication property of equality.

Multiplication property of equality is multiplying both sides of an equation by the same number does not change the equation.

a*c=b*c

First, you multiply by 3 from both sides of an equation.

3*(1)/(3)a=3(-5)

And, then you simplify or solve equation.

3(-5)=-15

a=15

15/3=5

15/5=3

3*5=15

5*3=15

Hope this helps!

Thanks!

Have a great day!
