Hypertext (World Wide Web)

Berners-Lee was great man and a genius who invented the World Wide Web (WWW). He was the same man who led the defining of HTML (Hypertext Markup Language) that was used to create web pages. HTTP, and URLS. Hypertext was created for this purpose; a standard for displaying web pages correctly.

However, I would not want to give all the credit to Berners-Lee. He added icing to the cake to the internet. He just produced a design that helped decode a few things. In fact, there was a lot that was already put in place before Berner’s influence on the WWW.
