4.

Explanation:

Since Eve has already knitted nine scarves we just need to add of few more. Our equation is this: 9 + _ + _ = ?

If you do 9 + 4 + 4, you get 17. Therefor, Eve must knit four scarves per day to meet her goal.

Answer: She must knit at least 4 scarves per day to meet her goal.

Explanation:

Hi, to answer this question we have to analyze the information given, and write an equation:

Her goal is to knit at least 17 scarves, and she has already knitted 9 scarves:

Mathematically speaking:

17 -9 = 8

So, for the minimum goal she needs to knit 8 scarves more. Since she has 2 days left, we have to divide the scarves needed by the days remaining:

8/2 = 4

She must knit at least 4 scarves per day to meet her goal (the minimum).
