12 girls and 32 boys volunteer to plants trees at a school. The principal divides the girls and boys into identical groups that have girls and boys in each group. What is the greatest number of groups the principal can make?

okay so the explanation to your question so if there is 12 girls and 32 boys we can take the 12 girls and but them aside the me take 32 -12 to make the groups equal then we get 20 so now that we have 12 girls and 12 boys we can start to give one to each group.

girls:12+1=13

13+1=14

14+1=15

boys:12+1=13

13+1=14

14+1=15

so now we have 14 more kids to divide up here we can do some easy stuff and do 14 divided by 2 = 7 so each kid gets 10 kids.

so there is a group of 25 kid in each group.
