Answer:Take out your "like terms" out of the problem

2(y)- 16

2(2) = 4

4(y) - 8 = 0

y + 8 = 8y

8 + 0 = 8

We have one solution in this problem from the calculation we just did!

So, therefore your answer would have to be y=8
