slope = -
(1)/(2) → B

to calculate the slope m between 2 points use the gradient formula

m = ( y₂ - y₁ ) / (x₂ - x₁ )

with (x₁, y₁ ) = (- 10, 1 ) and (x₂, y₂ ) = (0, - 4 )

m =
(-4-1)/(0+10) =
(-5)/(10) = -
(1)/(2)
