Set up a proportion for this problem

non-fiction to fiction = 3/5

If he gets 27 non- fictions, you can set up a proportion.

3/5 = 27/x Cross multiply

3x = 5 * 27 Divide by 3

x = 5 * 27/3 Divide

x = 5 * 9

x = 45

Answer: There should be 45 fiction books.
