In order to do this we need to speerate the variable X to get it by itslef here are the steps.

Move all terms containing x to the left, all other terms to the right.

Add '-7' to each side of the equation.

7 + -7 + -11x = -114 + -7

Combine like terms: 7 + -7 = 0

0 + -11x = -114 + -7

-11x = -114 + -7

Combine like terms: -114 + -7 = -121

-11x = -121

Divide each side by '-11'.

x = 11

Simplifying

x = 11

7-11x= -114

Subtract 7 from -114 = -121

Divide -121 by -11 = 11
