1) I open up myself to be a bit vulnerable so they feel comfortable talking to me.

2) I gather the people I’m around opinions’ ; then make sure I respect it.

3) Learning from watching/making mistakes.

4) Being sympathetic. I have experienced a huge amount of trauma and issues growing up. I feel safer and more comfortable when the people around me understand and feel empathy for what I’ve been through. Adding on, I also love when they work around me to make me feel better.

I always thought if someone was being silent, rude, snarky, or jealous, they were just in a bad mood/bad person. But, now I realize that they could have something going on at home contributing to their mood.
