Suppose that the temperature in the ecosystem below dips below freezing. What would happen to the fish swimming in the lake?

the temperature turning coke will not affect the fish, because oxygen is trapped beneath the layer of ice. As a result, fish and other aquatic animals find it possible to live comfortably in the frozen lakes and ponds.

Ice would form on the surface of the lake and insulate the fish.
