So if you want to find m you would need to divide 6 to both sides. That is because whatever you do on one side you would always want to do it on the other side so it is equal to each other.

6m = $5.76

Divide 6

m = 0.96

To check your work do 6 (0.96) and it should equal to $5.76

Step By Step:
1.Divide both sides by the coefficient (6) to cancel out the coeffiecient and leave only the variable.
5.76÷6=0.96

m=$0.96
