a leg of a right triangle can never be greater then the hypotenuse

this formula will tell you if it's a valid right triangle

{?}^(2) + {?}^(2) = {?}^(2)
the first two question marks are the legs of the triangle while the one after the = is the hypotenuse.

THE STEPS:

{3}^(2) + { √(7)^(2) } = {4}^(2)

9 + {2.65}^(2) = 16

{2.65}^(2) = 7

9 + 7 = 16
ANSWER:
√(7)
