Answer:

okay so yes i do believe in luck and i am superstitous

Step-by-step explanation:

i believe in luck because while some people will be having a terrible day and lets say they have a special something like a rock or something that they carry around with them or wear because they consider it as their lucky charm. when they wear it or have it with them they will have some kind of luck that day but it doesn't mean that it is going to be a terrific day it could be something small like they got a better score on the test than they though they were going to get. But believing in luck can serve a useful function. psychologists say. It may help us coping with chance events, such as being involved in an accident, a mugging or natural disaster, as it can help people feel more optimistic when circumstances are beyond their control. Lucky people are more likely to notice, create and act on opportunities. They use their gut feeling to make successful decisions. They persevere in the face of failure and take more calculated risks. They work to transform bad luck into good fortune by learning from experiences. A superstition is "a belief or practice resulting from ignorance, fear of the unknown, trust in magic or chance, or a false conception of causation" or "an irrational abject attitude of mind toward the supernatural, nature, or God resulting from superstition." here is an example a widely-known superstition is that breaking a mirror will result in seven years of bad luck. In some folklore, a person's reflection in a mirror was thought to house or be connected to a piece of the person's soul.

Coming from a philosophical standpoint luck doesn't exist. When you get "lucky" it isn't an outside force that is rewarding you for helping a grandma crossing the street, it is just a concept we came up with to give reason behind things that seemingly shouldn't happen.

From a spiritual/religious standpoint it is the opposite. Luck could be your god(s) rewarding you for good behavior, or just making you lucky for no reason but to have fun. People tend to believe in luck as some outside force due to religious or spiritual beliefs.
