you have the points:

(-3,6) -> where
x_(1)=-3,y_(1)=6

and


(-5,9) -> where
x_(2)=-5,y_(2)=9

and then we use the equation for the slope
m:


m=(y_(2)-y_(1))/(x_(2)-x_(1))

substituting values:


m=(9-6)/(-5-(-3))=(3)/(-5+3)=(3)/(-2)=

the slope between the points is -3/2
