A women is twice as old as her daughter . twenty one years ago she was three times her daughter . What is the women's present age?​

84

Explanation:

women=x

daughter=y.

x=2y.

x-21=3(y-21).

2y-21=3y-63.

42=y.

x=84.

Daughter's present age = x years

Women's present age = 2*x = 2x

21 years ago:

Daughter's age = x - 21

Women's age = 2x - 21

Women's age = 3*daughter'sage

2x - 21 = 3*(x - 21)

2x - 21 = 3x - 63 {Subtract '2x' from both sides}

- 21 = 3x - 2x - 63

-21 = x - 63 {Add 63 to both sides}

-21 +63 = x

42 = x

Daughter's present age = 42 years

Women's present age = 2*42 = 84 years
